The ‘Masserie’, typical southern Italian buildings dating back to the 16th century, enclose, from their origins, a complex and complete living environment, capable of combining very well the psycho-socio-economic aspect of the inhabitants and the properly structural one, characterised by a complex of buildings all facing a single central space, typically used as the focal point of society.
Thanks to ancient customs, the masserie still continue today to be a symbol of aggregation, meeting and exchanging experiences on the basis of conviviality, sharing and mutual respect.
Masseria Longa, which takes its name from the vast and ancient land on which it is located, has undergone several changes over the centuries, passing from olive oil production to the the cultivation of rooted vines, until today it has become an oasis of beauty and peace, while preserving its original characteristics.
It is immersed in the green of the enchanting Mediterranean maquis, rich in colours and scents that make its surroundings unmistakable and exclusive. along the main road, which leads in a few minutes to the most beautiful and crystal-clear beaches of the Adriatic coast, to the main tourist attractions of the Salento and to the beautiful historic centre of Otranto, defined as the easternmost municipality in Italy.
Otranto, a candidate for Capital of Culture 2025, is one of the most beautiful towns in Salento, rich in of history and architectural charm, as demonstrated by its famous Cathedral and its floor mosaic, defined as one of the largest in Europe, the Aragonese Castle, which hosts on many occasions exhibitions of various international artists, the characteristic bastions overhanging the sea and the numerous craftsmen’s workshops in the alleys of the village.
Of great importance is the scenic beauty of the surroundings, such as the lighthouse of Palascìa, the most easterly point in Italy, which creates a magical and suggestive atmosphere at every sunrise, the very special Bauxite Lake, the Torre del Serpe, and countless other seaside resorts all to be discovered.

All its suites offer the utmost comfort: refined furnishings made from high-quality products, with king-size double beds and comfortable mattresses, en-suite bathroom, private Jacuzzi, Turkish bath and/or private outdoor pool, each with a private garden with a dedicated relaxation corner enclosed by a thick hedge that allows you to relax in the utmost privacy. In addition, the Masseria has a large free guarded car park.
Breakfast, light lunch and dinner are served à la carte in the shade of a charming pergola with a view of the pool or in our inviting indoor dining area.
For dinner, guests can enjoy our dining service by reservation only, to be made preferably the day before or by the morning, as our masseria offers exclusively homemade dishes that require different preparation times.
Our cuisine offers typical dishes from the Salento tradition prepared with passion using high quality Km0 ingredients from our vegetable garden.
Our restaurant is not open to external customers, but is for the exclusive use of guests of the masseria.
